I was a new mom to a little boy. I felt like I had an obligation to make him his first halloween costume, so I called my Grams and asked her if she could help me find a pattern, fabric, and let me use her sewing machine. Of course she was more than willing to help me out. We went out shopping right away and Grams unexpectedly bought me my first sewing machine. She taught me the ins and outs of how to use it, how to sew a zipper, threading, cutting out patterns, what kinds of fabrics work best for which products, everything. I haven't stopped since. With 2 rambunctious boys, and a beautiful baby girl, I have so much inspiration! They love a doll that mommy made so much more than something that I can buy in the store (although they love those too). I love knowing and discovering all of the beautiful things that I can create! Eventually, my most loved things make their way into my shoppe! I love what I do, and I'll always remember that if it weren't for Grams, I may never have had this opportunity!
